IIWC of IPPA
IIWC of IPPA is the acronym of Indonesia International Work Camp of Indonesia Planned Parenthood Association. Informally, IIWC of IPPA was formed in September 1999, when PKBI (IPPA) held the first work camp in Mijen, Semarang Residence incorporate with NICE, the biggest work camp organization in Japan. Anyway, Mr. Subiyono was really succeeded introducing us to NICE as well, till we have a special relationship with them.
Seeing the success and positive result of the first work camp, NICE suggested IPPA to form a work camp organization. It was followed by an invitation for NVDA (Network for Voluntary Development in Asia) meeting in Hanoi Vietnam at 9 – 22 January 2000. This meeting discussed about how to run a work camp and everything about it. The meeting was exactly going in the same time with the second general assembly of NVDA, PKBI become a member as IIWC of Indonesia
IIWC of IPPA organizes International Camps at least five times a year in around February-March and August-September. Since 1999, IIWC of IPPA held 100 international camps
The ex-participants of IIWC’ s camps came from some islands in Indonesia and foreigners from many countries (Japan, Slovakia, Greece, France, England, Germany, Belgium, Canada, Spain, Korea, United States of America, Czech Republic, Italy, Netherlands, etc).
IIWC of IPPA not only host the International Participants but we also send Indonesian volunteers abroad, especially by grant. So far, we had sent our volunteers to Vietnam, Japan, Philippines, France, Germany, Finland, Korea, UK, Italy, Denmark, Turkey and Malaysia joined International/regional meeting, work camp, workshop and training.
Voluntary works
IIWC takes street children, environment, agricultural, construction, social, education, street children, HIV/AIDS, health care, renovation, and culture issues.
Objectives
The objectives of IIWC are
1. To create the International friendship among the countries involved.
To deepen and promote the mutual understanding between Indonesia and overseas participants and its organizations.
To promote the idea of voluntary service all over the world.
To foster the motivation of the local people in developing their community and preserve their environment
To broaden the vision on each country’s living aspects, including the education, culture and the way of life.
To promote objects around

IIWC is a non-profit work camp organization in Indonesia, which get money to organize voluntary activities from participants and volunteers.
